Frances Xavier Warde

Sister of Mercy Frances Xavier Warde first arrived in Pittsburgh with several other young sisters to make the first permanent foundation of Sisters of Mercy in America. Within a few years she and her fellow sisters made dramatic impact within the United States through her continued pioneering of new foundations from the east coast to the west coast! An amazing woman by all accounts, Frances Warde, RSM, made a difference for her church, her congregation, her community and her world!
